WebAug 15, 2024 · For two years now we have been tent/pop-up camping at this campground, and always have a good time. The Pemigewasset river is right there, and they have a private beach with entry to a deeper part of the river. For the most part the river is shallow, and suited to floating on a tube or parking your beach chair in the water. WebSurrounded by the Daintree Rainforest, Thornton Beach is the perfect destination to escape to. The beaches in the area offer lots of things to do and activities, and a relaxing place to swim, comb the sand for shells, or take long leisurely strolls along the coastline. Surrounded by rainforest, Thornton Beach is a hidden treasure.
